Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of rdev, a remote development environment that you install on a server you provide, together with its installer, container images, updates, command-line tools, laptop application and web panel (together, the "Service"). The Service is provided by RDev, owned by Sinan Eldem ("RDev", "we", "us"), Yunuseli Mah. Çamlık Cad. No: 14 B Blok Kat: 3 Daire: 9, Osmangazi, Bursa, Türkiye, through https://rdev.cloud. By creating an account or buying a subscription you agree to these Terms.

1. Orders and payment through Paddle

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

When you buy a subscription you buy it from Paddle, which also accepts your payment, issues your invoice and collects any applicable sales tax or VAT. Paddle's own Buyer Terms apply to the purchase. Prices are shown in US dollars on our website; taxes are calculated at checkout based on your location.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. You agree to give accurate account information, to keep your login credentials and license key secure, and to tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe they have been compromised. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation

  • The Service is sold as a monthly or annual subscription to one of the plans described on our pricing page (Single, Pro or Team). Team subscriptions are billed per user, with a minimum of three users.
  • There is no free trial and no free plan. Every installation starts with a paid subscription.
  • Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period for the same period, and Paddle charges the payment method on file at the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • You can cancel at any time by emailing us or through Paddle, using the subscription link in your receipt email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; until then the Service remains available.
  • We may change our prices. A price change applies from your next renewal, and we will tell you in advance so that you can cancel if you do not agree.
  • Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

4. Your server and root access

rdev runs on a Linux server (VPS, VDS, cloud or dedicated) that you rent and own yourself, for example from Hetzner, DigitalOcean, Oracle or AWS. The rdev installer sets up the software rdev needs on that server, including Docker. You are responsible for that server, its cost, its security, its backups (except where a plan includes rdev's backup job, which you configure with your own storage) and your compliance with your provider's terms. We do not host your code or data and we do not operate your server.

You keep full root access to your server and to the rdev container. We do not monitor root logins and we do not suspend licenses because you use root. If the Service detects that rdev's own files, managed agent settings or images have been modified, the server is marked as "modified" in the web panel and is no longer covered by support until the rdev components are reinstalled; your license continues.

5. License

While your subscription is active and you comply with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the Service on the number of servers and for the number of users included in your plan, for your own development work or that of your team.

You may not copy, redistribute, resell, rent, publish or share the installer, the container images, the rdev binaries or the AI agent profile, or make them available to anyone outside your subscription; nor remove, bypass or tamper with license checks, watermarks or other protection measures; nor reverse engineer the Service except to the extent that law expressly permits it. The Service includes license checks: the software on your server periodically contacts our servers to validate your license and to download updates. Open source components included in the Service remain under their own licenses, which are distributed with the installation.

6. Non-payment and read-only mode

If a renewal payment fails, Paddle retries the payment and you receive warnings during a 7-day grace period in which everything keeps working. If payment is still not received, your license lapses and your environment switches to read-only mode: your existing sites, services and file sync continue to run, but adding new projects or sites, changing versions, receiving profile and software updates and installing new environments are locked. Where your plan includes nightly backups, they continue until day 30 after the failed payment. We never delete or access your server, code or data. Paying the outstanding amount restores your license and removes the locks immediately.

7. Referral program

You can invite others to rdev with your personal referral link. When someone signs up through your link and their paid subscription reaches the amount shown in your account, we add referral credit to your account. The credit amounts and conditions in effect are shown in your account when you share your link.

  • Referral credit can only be used toward rdev subscription fees. It has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money, refunded or paid out.
  • Credit is personal: it cannot be transferred, sold or moved to another account.
  • Credit is valid for one year from the day it is added; unused credit then expires.
  • Referring yourself or your own accounts, or obtaining credit through fake sign-ups, spam or any other abuse, is not allowed. We may withhold or remove credit gained this way.
  • We may change or end the referral program at any time; credit already added stays valid until it expires.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, to distribute malware, to attack or gain unauthorized access to systems or networks, to send spam, or to interfere with the operation of our servers (for example by abusing the license or update endpoints). We may suspend access to the web panel and updates for accounts that seriously breach this section.

9. Third-party services

The Service works together with services that you obtain and pay for separately and that are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, including your server provider, Tailscale, Anthropic (Claude Code), OpenAI (Codex) and any git host or storage provider you connect. You bring your own accounts for these services. We are not responsible for their availability, pricing or conduct, and AI agent usage is not included in your rdev subscription.

10. Support

Support is provided as described for your plan on our pricing page. Support covers servers that have not been modified as described in section 4.

11. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will work with every server, provider or third-party service. Code written or changed by AI agents is your responsibility to review before use.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RDev is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or related to the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account if you materially breach these Terms, in particular sections 5, 7 and 8, after notice where reasonable. On termination your license ends; the software already on your server stays in the read-only state described in section 6, and your code and data remain yours. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including 5, 7, 11, 12 and 15, survive.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, tell you by email before they take effect. If you continue to use the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, you can cancel your subscription.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of Bursa, Türkiye have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these Terms, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have in your country of residence.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how RDev ("we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you visit https://rdev.cloud, create an rdev account, buy a subscription or run rdev on your server. rdev is designed so that your code and project data stay on your own server; we collect only what we need to sell, license and update the product.

1. Data controller

The data controller is RDev, owned by Sinan Eldem, Yunuseli Mah. Çamlık Cad. No: 14 B Blok Kat: 3 Daire: 9, Osmangazi, Bursa, Türkiye. You can reach us at [email protected] or +90 532 486 0614.

2. Data we collect

Account data

Your name, email address, a hashed password, two-factor authentication settings if you enable them, and account records such as sign-up and last login times.

Billing data

Payments are handled by Paddle, our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your payment details, billing address and tax information under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your card data. Paddle shares with us the information we need to manage your subscription, such as your name, email, country, plan, subscription status, and transaction and invoice references.

License and update checks

The rdev software on your server contacts our servers to validate your license and to check for and download updates. These requests contain your license identifier, a server identifier, the installed rdev version, timestamps and the IP address the request comes from. They do not contain your code, project files, databases, environment variables or AI agent conversations.

Support and communication

The content of emails you send us and, if you choose to attach it, a diagnostic report generated by rdev doctor, in which secrets are masked.

Technical data

When you use our website and web panel, our servers process your IP address, browser user agent and request logs for security and to keep the service running. If an error occurs, technical details about it are recorded in our error tracking system.

3. What we do not collect

We do not access your server, your code or your project data. We never join your Tailscale network. Your AI agent accounts (Anthropic, OpenAI) are connected directly by you, and we do not see your prompts or their usage.

4. How we use data and legal bases

  • To provide your account, license, updates and web panel (performance of a contract).
  • To manage subscriptions and billing together with Paddle (performance of a contract and legal obligations).
  • To send service emails such as account verification, password resets, payment warnings and important changes (performance of a contract).
  • To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and fix errors (legitimate interests).
  • To answer your support requests (performance of a contract and legitimate interests).
  • To keep accounting and tax records (legal obligations).

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

5. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to run the site: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, a CSRF protection cookie and, if you choose it, a "remember me" cookie. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Your light or dark theme choice is stored in your browser's local storage. Paddle's checkout may set its own cookies when you make a purchase.

6. Processors

We share personal data only with service providers that process it on our behalf or as independent controllers, to the extent needed for the purposes above:

  • Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd): reseller and Merchant of Record for payments, invoices, taxes and refunds.
  • Resend: delivery of transactional emails.
  • Cloudflare: DNS, network security and content delivery for our website.
  • GlitchTip: error tracking, which we host ourselves; error data is not sent to a third party.

Some of these providers process data outside Türkiye and the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, and for transfers from Türkiye we follow the requirements of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

7. Retention

  • Account data: for as long as your account exists, and deleted within 30 days after you delete your account, except where we must keep it longer.
  • Billing and transaction records: for the period required by tax and commercial law, generally up to 10 years.
  • License and update check records: up to 12 months.
  • Server logs and error reports: up to 90 days.
  • Support emails: up to 3 years after the conversation ends.

8. Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Article 11 of KVKK you have the right to know whether we process your data and to get a copy of it, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data deleted, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, to learn who your data was shared with, and to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

To exercise your rights, email [email protected]. We will reply within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority or, in Türkiye, to the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK).

9. Security

We protect personal data with encryption in transit, hashed passwords, optional two-factor authentication, access controls and regular updates. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires it.

10. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date and tell you by email about material changes.
