Bring your own VPS
Rent a plain Ubuntu 24.04 server with Docker from Hetzner, Oracle, DigitalOcean or any provider you like. You pay your provider directly; we recommend at least 4 vCPU and 8 GB of RAM.

Run one install command
The installer sets up the Docker container with Yerd, the databases and the AI agent profile, then joins the server to your own Tailscale tailnet with your auth key.

Your code, services and AI agents run on your server 24/7. Your laptop is only the editor and the browser, so closing the lid never stops an agent.

No. Your code, databases and AI agents stay on your server. Our servers only receive license checks and update downloads, the connection is always started by your server, and we never join your Tailscale network.
After a failed payment you get a 7-day grace period with warnings. From day 8 the environment switches to read-only mode: existing sites, services and file sync keep running, but new projects, version changes and profile updates are locked. Nightly backups continue until day 30. Paying again unlocks everything at once, and your code and data are always yours.

Claude Code and Codex are fully supported. Other agents that read AGENTS.md and speak MCP, such as Gemini CLI and opencode, get basic support. You connect your own Anthropic or OpenAI account; agent usage is not included in the price.
Yes. The server is yours: we do not monitor root logins and we do not suspend licenses over them. If rdev's own files are modified, the server is marked as modified in the panel and falls outside support, but your license continues.
No. Laravel and WordPress are first-class, other PHP frameworks run through Yerd, and Python, Ruby and Node projects are supported, with their runtimes installed only when you add such a project.
